Boat and Bicycle Rentals at Thompson Boat Center

TBC DOES NOT RENT MOTORBOATS

All Boat Rentals will cease the end of October or when water temp is below 55 degrees

With a special "10" or "15" time rowpass, purchased for $155 (plus tax) and $215 (plus tax) respectively, shell rentals are from sunrise or 6AM to 6PM and to be returned by 7PM (6PM on Sunday or sunset, whichever is earlier).  Row passes are only valid for the season they are purchased in. YOU MUST BE CERTIFIED TO RENT SHELLS. Go to our Rowing Lessons area to obtain certification. PLEASE NOTE THAT EACH PUNCH ON THE ROW PASS IS GOOD FOR 1 HOUR

We have three types of boats available: kayaks, canoes, and rowing shells. We have both single and double kayaks, as well as single recreational shells. In addition, we have single and double racing shells.

Kayaks -

Singles (sit-ins) rent for $15/hr or $35/day

Doubles (sit-in or ocean) rent for $20/hr or $45/day

Canoes rent for $14/hr or $35/day and can hold 3 adults or 2 adults and 2 small children

Rowing Shells -
         Sculls- Single:   $16.00 hour. Must be certified and validated for rental.
         Sculls- Double:  $26.00 hour. Both participants must be certified and validated for rental.                        
         4’s* and 8's*:    $10.00 per seat per hour *must be certified rowers and must be accompanied by a coach (additional $75 for coach)

  
Sailboats (Sunfish) - $10 per hour - Hourly only (please call for availability)

BICYCLE RENTALS

Thompson Boat Center offers bicycle rentals March through the season end (typically late October). The Boat Center is located conveniently at the intersection of Rock Creek Parkway and Virginia Avenue near Georgetown. We offer adult "Cruiser" type bicycles for rent. In addition, helmets, baskets, lockers, and bike locks are also available.

Mid-March to Close	Monday thru Sunday
Rentals begin at:	8:00 AM
Last rental at:	6:00 PM (Sunday @ 5:00 PM)
Must be returned by:	7:00 PM (Sunday @ 6:00 PM)

Our bicycle rentals are first-come, first-served. Our day rate for the bicycles constitutes any rental period greater than four hours. Rentals are daily only. No overnight rental is allowed.

Thompson Boat Center does not accept reservations for any rentals.

Cruisers

Bicycles rent for $10.00 per hour or $30.00 per day. Both men's and ladies styles are available. Children's bicycles are available in limited numbers.
