below are the coaching positions that we are looking to fill
for the 2006 rowing season. If you see something

Learn to Row:
The Thompson Boat Center of Washington, DC is looking for several learn-to-row
coaches for the 2006 season. The two available coaching sessions are 6AM – 7:30
AM and 6PM – 7:30PM. Sessions are two weeks long, and run from Mid-April
to October. Applicants do not need to be available for the full year to be
eligible. Minimum of 2 years college rowing experience required, no prior
coaching experience necessary. Great way to get some coaching experience!

Junior Spring - Assistant
The Thompson Boat Center of Washington, DC is looking for an assistant coach
for its spring junior program. Program hours are 5:30-7:00AM; program runs
from March to May. A minimum of two year college rowing experience is required,
prior coaching experience is a plus but not a requirement.

Junior-18 Men - Assistant
The Thompson Boat Center of Washington, DC is looking for an assistant coach
for its summer junior men’s program. The junior men’s program
at Thompsons has been highly successful in the past few years, and is seeking
coaches who wish to become a part of this tradition. The program runs mornings
and evenings from June to mid August. Successful applicants will have 4 years
of college rowing experience, and a minimum of 1 year of prior coaching experience.

The Thompson Boat Center of Washington, DC is looking for an experienced coach
for its summer Junior-16 men’s team. This team has been highly successful
in the past few years, and seeks a coach capable of continuing this winning
tradition. The program runs from June to mid August, with morning and afternoon
practices. Successful applicants will have a minimum of two prior seasons
of competitive coaching with a solid win/loss record.

Masters
Men – Program Coach
The Thompson Boat Center of Washington, DC is looking for a highly qualified
coach for its Masters Men’s program. Program hours are 5:45-7:30AM,
4 days/week. The Masters men’s program has a long and successful history,
and we are looking for a coach with a minimum of 3 years competitive coaching
experience to continue that tradition. Program runs from mid-March – November.

Boat Repairman
The Thompson Boat Center of Washington, DC is looking for a shell repair specialist
for all or part of the 2006 rowing season. Successful applicants will have
at least 2 years of experience in shell repair, and be able to handle the
following types of repairs: major (>3 inch) gashes, separated ribs, broken
bows, and other types of damage of this magnitude. The position is 20 hours/week,
but additional coaching/boathouse staffing hours may be available to qualified
individuals. The TBC rowing season begins in March, but we will consider
individuals who only have summer or fall availability as well.
