What's Happening at the Thompson Boat Center

Join us this weekend (May 18th and 19th) at the Boat Center for this annual event you don't want to miss out on!

What it is: A two day festival held along the Potomac River complete with cultural exhibitions, craft demonstrations, and dragon boat racing. The event is sponsored by the Chinese Women's League (CWL) and serves to promote Chinese culture to the Washington DC area through the sport of dragon boat racing.

Our boats are now back on the water and we'd like you to come on down and chill with a happy paddle on our lovely river. Kayaks, canoes and sculls are available for rental from 8-5 seven days a week! See ya' on the water."

Have a child who really wants to row but doesn't attend a school with a program? Have a child who wants to row with their school program in the fall? Sign them up for our 'Junior Learn to Row' and 'Junior Novice' classes. Then stand back and watch them take off in September!

Have a passing interest in getting on the water in one of our sculls and rowing in general or really want to sink your teeth into the sport? If the latter why don't you sign up for our 'Learn to Row Scull' classes and follow it up with your favorite coach in our 'Novice Sculling' class. You'll be in a racing shell and able to work out hard in no time!
